A solid mahogany top is veneered with pommele sapele. Its chatoyance* gives it an elegant feel which creates harmonic contrast with the repurposed cam shaft and forged steel legs. The piece is balanced with mahogany decorative turnings and finished with a hand-rubbed traditional oil finish and natural bee's wax. Each cam pedestal table is hand-crafted, each with subtle differences, giving each table its own individuality. Size: 30” - 36” h, 12” dia.

Handmade by Rochester artist Mark Moore. *Chatoyance means changing in luster or color, refering to the pommele sapele veneer of the top and the sheen it projects. A lot of highly figured woods have a natural chatoyance (like a guitar might).
